Sustainability Steward (Waste Separation)

Manly Wharf is on the lookout for casual Sustainability Stewards to join our Sustainability team. This role will require you to separate waste streams by hand – so be prepared to get hands dirty. Sustainability Stewards play an integral role in supporting our goal to be the most sustainable precinct on the planet.

You will receive training from one of the leading sustainability teams in the Australian hospitality industry and use this knowledge to service the precinct and ensure all waste is diverted from landfill correctly. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking for a fresh start in their career path, keeping fit and be a part of an award-winning team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Separating waste streams
• Record keeping
• Using the baling machine to crush cardboard and tins.
• Processing food waste for our Goterra machine
• Keeping areas and equipment clean.

What we’re looking for:

• No experience necessary. Knowledge of kitchen operations is an advantage.
• This role requires heavy lifting.
• Work collaboratively with others.
