Farm Maintenance/boilermaker

About the role

Fullerton Farms Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Farm Maintenance/Boilermaker to join our team in Elimbah, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our farm equipment, buildings, and infrastructure. With a focus on hands-on mechanical work, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our agricultural business.

What you'll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and other specialised farm vehicles

• Conducting welding and fabrication work to maintain and modify farm structures and other assets

• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, identifying and addressing problems before they escalate

• Collaborating with the farm management team to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules

• Ensuring all equipment and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations

• Assisting with other general farm duties as required

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in boilermaking, metal fabrication, or a related trade

• Proficient in the use of a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialised farm equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions

• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on safety and compliance

• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a range of farm vehicles

• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to prioritise and multitask

• HR truck license and forklift license preferable but not essential
