We are a multidisciplinary consulting firm supporting government and defence clients across Australia's road, bridge, maritime and civil infrastructure network. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to develop, deliver or support client road, bridge, culvert, maritime and associated civil and maritime infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, deliver or support multiple client road, bridge, culvert, maritime and civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop management plans including but not limited to scope, schedule, budget, risk, communications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors and internal resources, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to specification within live road and or maritime environments.
• Oversee design development and review, ensuring constructability and compliance with relevant State Government standards, guidelines and Australian Standards.
• Administer contracts, including tender documentation, evaluations, variations, claims and progress payments in line with contract and organisational requirements.
• Implement robust risk management, WHS and traffic management practices appropriate for construction within operating road networks, bridge corridors and maritime extents.
• Lead stakeholder and community engagement with client representatives, service authorities, landowners and other project stakeholders to support project approvals and delivery.
• Monitor project performance, prepare progress reports and provide timely advice on emerging risks, opportunities and recommended corrective actions.
Skills and Experience
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience (10+ years) delivering road, bridge, culvert, maritime civil infrastructure projects in Australia, ideally within a government or Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor/consultant environment.
• Strong understanding of road, bridge, maritime structure construction methods, drainage and culvert design, earthworks, pavements and associated utilities.
• Proven track record in project and contract management, including programming, cost control, claims/variations and reporting.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines for civil infrastructure projects, including WHS and environmental requirements in live traffic or shipping environments.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors and the community.
• Competent in standard project management and office software; experience with project controls tools and common civil design platforms will be well regarded.
• Current driver's license and the ability to undertake occasional regional travel as required for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
